Winter Storm Freddy Passes Mitchell

About 2 inches of snow fell on Mitchell's doorstep this morning causing many to skip church, Our Publisher made his way to both the Methodist service downtown and Fusion, however. The Sun was out briefly as well this afternoon.

Obama Swears In Again

It was reported that President Obama retook his oath of office this morning. His original oath expires today because January 20th is Inauguration Day. The fact that it's Sunday seems to make some feel as though the ceremony could not be public. Reagan was reported to have done something like that on his second inauguration in 1985. Back when the traditional inauguration day was March 4. Zachary Taylor didn't even bother to be sworn in until the next day because it fell on a Sunday, which made David Rice Atchinson a footnote in history.
Those who did not see the private ceremony will be about to see the public spectacle tomorrow. There will be all kinds of celebrations that anyone so inclined can see on the TV channel of their choice.
