I Issue 6G BURNING BAN CONTINUES AFTER RECENT RAINS It rained again in Hyde County early this morning.Highmore reported 2 inches.Barbara Nemec reported 1 and a half inches. Darrel Hinkle reported 1.2 inches while the Ponderosa recieved exactly .55 of an inch. In spite of the ban on open fires is still in effect.It is expected for the water currently standing to dry up and disappear in a couple days time. "A GOOD LAND" TO RESUME PRODUCTION TONIGHT In a statement this morning Barbara Nemec declared "We're going to put this play together tonight". The cast will be meeting in Highmore at the Heartland State Bank to that end tonight at 8pm. Brittany Kerr who was to play one of the younger character is home from the hospital and doing well. She is wheelchair bound and expected to be so for at least the rest of the summer. HAROLD AND MARY HINKLE ARE ON THE ROAD AGAIN Doug Hinkle of Pierre has asked his parents to come over to his house this weekend to help remodel a couple of the bedrooms. They will find time tonight and tomorrow morning to take in a few rummage sales with Roger and Linda Wurts,who will be camping near Pierre this weekend. Harold and Mary were invited to go along,but they are camping too far from the rest room for Harold's comfort.
