The gun control freaks are at it again. It seems they are upset with Kim Kardashian because she signed a pledge to reduce gun violence some time back. Now, it appears she bought a diamond encrusted gun, and the gun control freaks are calling foul. All of us here at the Holabird Advocate are bewildered. After all simply buying a gun is not a violent act. At this point, it's just a piece of furniture. when she starts busting caps into people, that's the time to call foul. From what we've observed, she's rather assault our ears with her singing and our eyes with her appearance.

     After printing a recent article about Beyonce using satanic Illuminati signs in her super bowl act, our Publisher heard a rather interesting report claiming that Beyonce is a member in good standing of a Methodist Church in the Dallas, Texas area. This brings a whole new light into the issue. The Methodist church is a rather free thinking institution, but not even they are open to devil worship. Our Publisher has decided to keep a watchful eye on her, because if she is worshiping 2 masters, she will slip up on one of them sooner or later!

     This past week a story went through the social media about an Italian restaurant in Washington State That gives a discount to those who bring well behaved children into their establishment. These reports reminded me of how my dad used to say that he had to pay my brothers to be good, but I was always good for nothing.

      I did have my bad moments, and no matter how much my dad paid my brothers, they had their bad moments as well. I dug into this story and found out a couple rather interesting details.This Italian restaurant, according to an online review, is not ideal for kids. Because burgers and fries are not on the menu, a picky eater such as I was as a child may not behave in the best way. Also, when children do come to a place that is not kid friendly, people at the other tables tend to notice when such children act up, and for some reason it spoils their meal as well. I don't have children, but once I took a young lady out to a fancy restaurant, and she behaved so shamefully that I never took her their again, which is probably what she wanted. In fact there was almost no second date. But when I took her to Perkins, she was a perfect lady. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for!

     Rewarding kids for good behavior is nothing new. When you get a shot at the doctors office and don't kick him, you get candy when you're a kid. If you don't bite the dentist, he lets you have a small toy. At least that's how it was when I was a kid. what the restaurant is doing is different. The kids aren't being rewarded, it's the parents. Even so, just having well behaved kids is it's own reward, isn't it!

     So is there anything wrong with giving a parents a discount for having well behaved kids at your restaurant ? I say no! Some have said that they should charge extra if the kids don't behave, but I wouldn't go that far. Just as having well behaved kids is it's own reward, having little monsters is it's own punishment! In either case, God be with you and do the best you can!
