As you all know, the Mayans, a Native American civilization that died out before the white people could kill them, predicted somehow that the world, or at least the calendar, would come to an end. It seems that this occasion is being met with all kinds of "End of the World" parties. We humans can find so real strange excuses to consume massive quantities of alcohol.

     OK, So we'll play along. Yes the world is going to just stop existing because an ancient society that couldn't even predict the end of its own existence says it's so. Well that's all there is to it, then! Of course, if the end of the world doesn't happen at midnight, there is still 24 hours for it to happen. So long world, it's been good to know ya!
