Parade of Lights? Goodbye! Hello to Christmas at the Corn Palace!
The Parade of Lights has been a holiday tradition for the Mitchell area for years. Some were a mite disappointed that it was cancelled this year, but a new tradition in the making took place last Monday night with Christmas at the Corn Palace. Santa himself was available for pictures with kids of all ages. All manner of holiday entertainment, including the MHS Show Choir, and an ACT preview of "White Christmas". There was a chili feed, on top of free cookies and a choice of hot or cold apple cider. It was topped off with the lighting of the Christmas tree across from the Corn Palace. The 60 degree weather didn't spoil the Christmas spirit of the hundreds of people who took in the festivities, those who weren't in attendance really missed out on a good time!
Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble gobble!
