E.E. HINKLE TAKES A BREAK FROM "BOOST"
Holabird centanarian E.E. Hinkle has given up "Boost" for a while in favor of a lunch at "Boost time" (3pm). Most agree that this is a good decision. A "wait and see" attitude is prevailing. He is eating well, and that is a good sign.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

SCORE ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS
by Jerry Hinkle, Special to
the Holabird Advocate
You know, My cousin Kevin is a really swell guy. He's athletic without being labeled a "dumb jock". He's smart (after all he reads the Holabird Advocate) but not so smart that he has to make all those around him feel dumb. He's the life of any party and he's single, BUT NOT FOR LONG
Kevin will be married later on today to a young lady that I don't know all that well. I understand she is some sort of arobic fitness trainer, so she must be athletic. She's marrying Kevin so,yes, she is smart as well.
I am not going to their wedding. Not because of them, but because I'd rather not deal with seeing all of my other relatives at this festive occasion. Sooner or later one or more of those well meaning relatives will ask that most dreaded of all questions "Why aren't you Married yet?". Ordinarily it wouldn't bother me, but at this function I was almost certainly going to run into "Her", and I don't believe I can stand all that right now. Someday maybe, not now.
It's wonderful that some people bother to get married in this day and age. My brother Doug sure hasn't seen the need to do that. He's got a few good reasons to get married, yet he doesn't. The Leap of faith that Kevin and Jaime are taking should be an inspiration to us all. In this world, we aren't given much hope for the future. We're told "Nice guys finish last". If anyone can prove that statement false, those two can, and they will. You will find very few people as nice as they are, so don't even try.
