Holabird AdvocateProviding all the news we see fit to print since 2002!Tuesday, September 10, 2002 VOL. I Issue 9E AMERICA GOES ON "ORANGE ALERT" The White House has declared "orange alert" for the nation. This means "High Risk of Terrorist Attacks". This is the first time since the inception of the color coded risk alert scale that it was moved from yellow alert. The color coded risk scale was developed to let the citizens know the risk of terrorist activity . Those wishing to recieve a chart of the color coded system through e-mail can get in contact with the Holabird Advocate and we'll get one to you through the curtesy of Yahoo!. SEPT. 11: A PUBLISHER REMEMBERS by Jerry Hinkle, Special to the Holabird Advocate Tomorrow the Holabird Advocate will be running a special edition to observe the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks. I didn't know if I should or if I should just ignore it. I will have a poll to gauge how that particular edition covered the situation. That way, you the Reader can judge for yourself. A lot of things happened in that year and perhaps we can all get a little perspective.
